Note on Using the On-Line Codified Laws

Direct links to the contents of the Florida Statutes below the top level (numbered titles) cannot be easily maintained. Take note of the beginning section for the law in question; then, in the listing of titles in the Florida Statutes, drill down through successive levels to reach the desired section. In a citation to a beginning section (such as “Fla. Stat. § 682.01 et seq.”), the number preceding the decimal point is a chapter number. The listing of titles in the Florida Statutes includes, at the right side, a parenthetical indicator of the chapters comprising a given title.
