New Mexico Court Decisions

A diagram of the state court system (including a summary of each court's jurisdiction) is available on the web site of the National Center for State Courts.

    Appellate cases can be retrieved by citation (e.g., “121 N.M. 57” or “908 P.2d 750”) from a LEXIS database (free searching goes back five years only). There is also a text-search function. (Registration is required but is free.)

New Mexico Court Information

New Mexico counties are organized into 13 judicial districts. Each county has a district court, which is the court of general jurisdiction.
